Nicholson is a 2010 graduate of Regent University with a B.S. in Psychology, minor in Communications, and began a Masters/Ph.D. track in Biblical Theology in 2011 that was interrupted to complete Silent Communion and other books.  She was the founding president of Regent University's Undergraduate Psychology Club in 2007-2009, a Scholar at the University of Georgia's Summer Undergraduate Research Program in 2007, recognized in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities in 2008, and has also attended the Loyola Institute for Ministry LIMEX program held at the University of Georgia's Catholic Center in 2012 - 2013.

T. S. grew up as an agnostic with an atheist father who enculturated a respect for all of creation and a kinship with non-human life in their daily lives. She converted to a lukewarm belief in Christianity in her mid-twenties while attending numerous denominations and became serious in her walk with the Lord in 2001 to eventually find her own spiritual completion in Catholicism.  T.S. continues to work offline on three other unpublished manuscripts; A Christian Primer for the 21st Century, The Clowder of Johnson Drive, and Davy and I.
